Chinese Culture Week '03
MIT Chinese Student and Scholar Association (CSSA) is holding a week-long culture event on MIT campus from April 15 through April 20. The purposes of the event is three-folded: 1. Introduce Chinese culture and bring diversity to the MIT community; 2. Provide an opportunity for the MIT community to learn about China; 3. Improve the interaction between MIT Chinese students and the rest of the MIT community.

The culture week will start with a slide show "China - Rapid Change in an Ancient Land" presented by professional photographer Barry Pell, continued by a series of classical Chinese movie screening including Zhang Yimou's masterpiece "Hero", joined by a seminar on China-US relationship by Professor Lucian Pye of Political Science at MIT, and climax with a grand culture fair comprised of magnificent Chinese culture performance, exhibitions of China's culture heritage and interactive booths featuring gorgeous Chinese cuisine, calligraphy, drawing, and GO games.

Participants of the event include MIT Chinese students/ scholars as well as Chinese students from other universities and performers from the Boston Chinese community. Together we bring a fantastic culture festival to the MIT campus!
