Academic
Development
Chair:
LIU Jifeng Áõ¼Ì·å jfliu01@mit.edu
The Committee
of Academic Development focuses on promoting activities that are
helpful to those who want to pursue an academic career after graduation.
We are setting up a network between successful faculty members (especially
Chinese faculty members) and perspective students to promote interaction
and collaboration. In addition, we will provide opportunities for
students who come from different departments but have related research
interests to communicate with each other, thereby facilitating inter-group
and inter-departmental research partnerships. Being a member of
this committee, you will have lots of opportunities to get to know
the faculty members in the top universities in the U.S. and China.

Corporate
Relations
Chair: ZHANG Zhenyu ÕÅÕñÓî zhyzhang@mit.edu
We seek to develop
mutually beneficial relations with corporations in both U.S. and
China. Our main mission is to establish an online career database,
which will be customized especially for our Chinese scholars and
will provide company background, key contacts and full-time/intern
position posts. Guest talks from global renowned enterprises will
also be on the schedule. In the long run, we will make our endeavor
to launch "Back 2 China Intern Program", which provides
opportunity to bridge MIT CSSA community with China's industry.

Alumni
Relations
Chair: XU Heng Ðìºâ hengxu@mit.edu
Alumni relations
committee is dedicated to establish and maintain connections with
past CSSA alums. Their experience and information are valuable sources
for current students at MIT. Unfortunately, this was underemphasized
in the past, and we have lost touch with many of our alums. This
committee is currently working on a project to build a database
of Chinese alumni as well as current MIT students. We will be in
great need of people to collect alumni information, establish and
maintain relationships with them, and edit periodical newsletters.
We believe that alumni relations is an important mission for Chinese
students at MIT, and you will get a chance to build connections
with our alum.

Mentor-Mentee
Chair: HAN Lin º«ÁÖ linhan@mit.edu
The mentor-mentee
program is set up to help our new students to start their lives
and studies at MIT more smoothly and pleasantly throughout their
first year. This program focuses only on new Chinese students and
our enthusiastic representatives, and the goal is to provide a more
consistent and close-knit relationship between the representatives
and their mentees. Remember when you first came here, how friends
and even strangers helped you to adapt to MIT? Our newcomers face
the same issues and anxieties, so this is your chance to transfer
the enthusiasm to them and make a difference in their lives.
